Mit seiner Firma @petrekguitars und seinen Reparaturvideos hat sich der Gitarrenbauer Nikola Petrek mittlerweile eine große Fangemeinde auf Instagram aufgebaut. „Attic Music“ by@petrekguitars ist nun sein neustes Projekt. Worum es ihm dabei geht, erzählt er hier: „Nachdem mein Instagramkanal @petrekguitars großen Zuspruch fand, habe ich angefangen kurze Soundcheck Videos von Instrumenten zu machen, die ich repariert oder gebaut habe. Dabei kam mir die Idee einige meiner KundInnen zu fragen, ob sie auf den Instrumenten, die ich für sie repariert habe, etwas für mich spielen würden. Meine Idee dahinter ist: Ich supporte meine KundInnen, Freunde und MusikerInnen, indem ich ihre Musik auf meinem Kanal poste und als Co-Autoren einlade. Sie bekommen die „Likes“ und die Aufmerksamkeit meiner Follower. „Attic Music“ habe ich das Projekt getauft, weil es auf dem Dachboden direkt neben meiner Werkstatt aufgenommen wird und das live mit nur einem Mikrofon.

What it’s all about for him, he tells here: „After my Instagram channel @petrekguitars became very popular, I started making short soundcheck videos of instruments I repaired or built. In the process, I got the idea to ask some of my customers if they would play something for me on the instruments I repaired for them. My idea behind this is: I support my customers, friends and musicians by posting their music on my channel and inviting them as co-authors. They get the „likes“ and attention of my followers. „I christened the project „Attic Music“ because it’s recorded in the attic right next to my workshop, live with just one microphone.“
